A new era in glass cutting: Macotec Strato Active

FG Trading recently installed a fully-automatic Strato Active Laminated Glass Cutting Table at the Cape Town branch of PG Building Glass. FG Trading is the exclusive Southern African distributor of Macotec Cutting Tables which are designed and built in Italy.

Macotec has been a leading manufacturer of automatic glass cutting lines for over 18 years and offers one of the most extensive ranges of equipment. Macotec Cutting Systems are designed for cutting both monolithic and laminated glass, and their systems range from completely automatic handling and cutting to simple stand-alone cutting tables.

The Strato Active cutting table in particular features exceptional ergonomics. The absence of any obstructions on the front face of the machine and the reduced height of the cutting bridges allows operators to move freely and ensures total visibility of working areas, reducing fatigue and improving operator performance.

In addition, the technologically-advanced machine features a rapid 15 second working cycle, a PVB cutting blade, squaring up to zero, optional peripheral wheel for Low-E coating edge deletion, high precision recirculating ball bearings, self-adjusting working parameters, an on board optimizer and automatic glass separation after the cutting cycle.
