Glass Setting Blocks
Silicone-compatible setting blocks for use in the installation of single or double glazed glass into various frames ie. wood, uPVC or aluminium to carry the dead load of the glass. The setting blocks are used to isolate and elevate the glass from the frame. Setting blocks act as cushions and assist in supporting the glass.
Available in black in various sizes with or without pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) backing.
Setting blocks are placed on the rebate platform before the glass is positioned in the surround. The glass is then rested on the setting blocks to ensure that it is centred in the surround. The setting blocks can be used with silicone, however testing should be carried out to ensure compatibility. These setting blocks have been tested for compatibility with the following structural glazing sealants: Proglaze II, Spectrem 2 and FS550.
