Capillary breather tubes should be used if there is a difference of 610m in elevation between the final destination of the double glazed unit and where the unit is manufactured OR if the transport of the unit will result in a change of elevation over 1220m.
Typically one capillary tube is installed in an IG unit by sliding the capillary tube alongside a corner key into a spacer, or by inserting the capillary tube through a hole punched in the spacer. Sealant is then applied around the capillary tube, and typically the entire unit.
Please see data sheet for more information. Please do not hesitate to contact us for further information, pricing or to discuss your double glazing requirements.
- Automatically allows air to flow in or out of the unit thus regulating the pressure
- Maintains proper air space thickness resulting in higher insulating value of the IG unit
- Reduce risk of visual distortion, seal stress and glass fracture
- Quick and easy to install
